A quote request moves through a fixed pipeline, visible as a row of steps at the top of its detail view.

The pipeline

New → Viewed → Quoted → Accepted → In Progress → Completed
Declined sits outside the pipeline, a request can drop into it from any of the earlier steps.

What moves a request forward

StatusWhat triggers it
NewThe customer submitted your calculator (or you created it with Quick quote without emailing it)
ViewedSet automatically the moment you open the request
QuotedSet automatically when you send a Reply, or when you create and immediately email a Quick quote
AcceptedYou click Confirm Order, the customer accepts through their own approval link, or auto-confirm is on for that calculator and the date is clear
In ProgressYou click Mark In Progress
CompletedYou click Mark Completed
DeclinedYou click Decline, or the customer declines through their approval link
You (or a teammate) can also jump straight to any step by clicking it on the pipeline, or picking it from the status dropdown on mobile.

The conflict guard on Accepted / In Progress

Moving a request into Accepted or In Progress re-checks the event date live, right at that moment, against your blocked days and confirmed events. If something now collides, you get a dialog naming what's in the way and an Accept anyway button, instead of a silent double-booking.

Tip

Accepting a request automatically creates a private event on your calendar for that date, so there's no separate step to remember.
