Limit a product to a season

Mämmi at Easter, grilled asparagus in May, glögi in December, some items only make sense part of the year. Instead of remembering to hide and reveal them yourself, give them a date window once.

Setting the window

• Open Products, edit the item, and expand Advanced.
• Turn off Always available.
• Two date pickers appear, set the start and end dates.

Leave the start or end date empty to make that side open-ended, for example set only an end date to mean "available until then, from whenever it was added."

What happens outside the window

Products outside their availability window are removed from the public calculator entirely, not grayed out. Guests browsing your menu in July never see the item you scoped to December.

Inside CaterWay's own Products list, the item stays visible year-round so you can still edit or duplicate it, only the customer-facing calculator hides it.

Turning it back off

Flip Always available back on and the date fields clear, the product is visible every day again.
